Recipe Ingredients

PARATHA ROTI

4 cups flour
2 tsp salt
2 oz fat
5 tsp baking powder
1&1/2 cups water



Recipe Directions

METHOD

sift dry ingredients into flour then mix in fat. Mix all ingredients. Do not knead. Make a soft sticky dough. Roll lightly. Do not press
1st rolling
as thin as paper. Baste with butter evenly. Make sure ends are thin.sprinkle handful of flour and cut down from centre rolling tightly.
2nd rolling
moderately thin. Leave dough to sit for 15 minutes. Heat platter and bake turning frequently. Do not press ends. Hold up bake in air and beat with flat spoon until torn (baste dough down with oil using plastic or enamel baster. Also baste platter).
